Since his early childhood, Alioune Touré has dreamed of becoming a professional football player. Aged 7, he started playing for his local club in the suburb of Paris. Soon, Alioune showed a real talent for football and great potential. At 13, he joined the elite INF Clairefontaine academy, where most of world-class French players are trained. André Merelle, his coach at the time, quickly noticed his speed and his smart sense of the game.
In 1994, Alioune joined the French Ligue 1 club FC Nantes as a youth player. Two years later, coach Jean-Claude Suaudeau asked him to join the first team. Additionally, he was regularly selected with the Under 19 French National team and won the Youth European Championship title in 1998. Subsequently, Alioune joined Manchester City in 2001. During his season at the club, they ended up winner of the Championship title enabling the team to reach the Premier League the next season.
Further to this success, Alioune transferred from Manchester City to Paris Saint-Germain. There, Alioune met success again when the team won the French Cup in 2003. After 3 seasons in Paris, he played for different overseas clubs in Portugal, in the Middle-East and in Cyprus. Finally in 2011, after a last season with Paris Football Club, he retired from his player career.
Willing to pass on his experience and his know-how, Alioune decided to become a football coach. In 2012, Alioune joined the Shanghai Shenhua staff as a coach assistant and obtained his UEFA A Licence from the French Football Federation in 2015.

Alioune joined the INF Clairefontaine academy in 1992. Thanks to his coach, André Mérelle, Alioune acquired excellent skills and was quiclky noticed for his talent and his speed.
1994 - 2001
Two years after joining the club as a youth player, Alioune made his professional debut with the first team. His time at the club has been marked by a lot of successes as the team won one Ligue 1 title and 2 French Cup titles.
2001 - 2002
Kevin Keegan, manager of the first team at the time, called him to join his squad. After an excellent season, the team won the Championship title and marked the history of the club by enabling the team to join the Premier League the next season.
2002 - 2004
Alioune then transferred to Paris Saint Germain. Alioune again met success in 2003 when the team won the Fench Cup title.
Alioune subsquently went on a loan to EAG Guigamp for one season.
2005 - 2007
He joined the Leiria UD squad managed by Jorge Jesus at the time.
2007 - 2008
Al Sailiya Doha
Alioune then went to the Middle-East to play for one season at Al Sailiya Club in Doha.
Dubai Sports Club
He then flew to the United Arab Emirates to play for the Dubai Sports Club team.
2008 - 2009
Back to Europe, he joined the squad of the Olympiakos Nicosie in Cyprus
2009 - 2010
Paris Football Club
Back to France in the Paris Footabll Club, Alioune officially retired from his player career in 2011 after one season at the club.
Alioune joined the Shanghai Shenhua staff as a coach assistant.
